Most useless thing....?

So, this is what a bulb planter looks like! I got suckered into the special offer (£5 instead of £15) when buying some other bits online. I can't for the life of me see how it's going to be any better than a trowel - guess I'll just need to wait until my summer bulbs arrive so I can test it out.

Bit random but does anyone use a heated propagator? Do they work well and any recommendations for one at all?
