The Pentlands from Morningside

The morning was spent doing the usual Saturday chores. After coffee, dealing with the groceries, then a bit of bike maintenance/ This turns out to be more onerous than expected as two spokes have snapped in the rear wheel, so I decide to replace it. I'd already bought one, and wanted to wait until April, but I couldn't really get the old wheel true.

I did most of the work before lunch, then had to go down to Morningside anyway to get some extra shopping. Then I went give some moral support to my partner at the craft fair. This was at the Columcile Centre at Newbattle Terrace. As I won't have much time later on to get a blip, I take this emergency blip of the Pentlands viewed from Morningside Rd just above Newbattle Terrace. The view down Morningside didn't quite make it this time. Perhaps it was the blue sky that did it.

After the craft fair, I spend time pre-dinner reassembling my bike ready for tomorrow's Spokes Ride. A wee bit of a pfaff, but I manage to get it in working order.
