Mono Monday through the window

Today's Mono Monday theme was truly serendipitous since "through the window" is about all I really had time for today.  A bit of faffing in Lightroom to increase contrast and adjust blacks and whites and add a little vignette, and it barely resembles a bright red bird.  If you'd like to see a red version of the Northern Cardinal, check Extra.

Had lunch with a friend today then went straight to the retirement home to visit MIL.  As luck would have it, they had a singer/entertainer visit this afternoon and I was able to go with my MIL - she has so much fun, laughing and singing along to all the songs.  And, dare I say it, flirting shamelessly with the entertainer who was encouraging her equally shamelessly!  Almost all of the residents attended and it was such fun seeing how much they enjoyed it.  When I left, MIL was getting ready for some light physical therapy, which also involved a lot of flirting with the male therapist.  Yes, are you sensing a theme here?
