What is that little thing?

   I have been trying to get this very, very tiny bud in a photo.  It has been strikingly difficult.  I finally chose this evening to have a softer light for my photo.  The little green thing is a leaf bud, it just popped from a lenticle on the trunk of the Japanese Elm.  It is all of a 1/16" , the size of a pinhead!  The 2 leaves lower down, and to the right, is a leaf bud that has unfurled and is less than a 1/4 ".  It left the bud stage and unfurled 4 days ago.  I thought you might like to see the very beginning of a tree's leafing out process.
