Little Black is a super driving pony , great fun and really well mannered . I like her a lot. My friend Susan loves her and is putting a brace face on the vets provisional diagnosis of arthritis or navicular - both of which would spell bad news and retirement for this sparky little 12 yr old.
Out to Limerick university tonight to watch and facilitate the first Irish showing of the award winning US doc film "why not home" about why obstetric health care professionals are turning to home birth. There was a fab turnout with many of my home birth babies and parents - past present and future, lots of student and hospital midwives. No obstetricians unfortunately , we wanted some sceptics . We talked late into the night and were thrown out of the building by the poor security guard who wanted to go home!
