Movie Night at the Potsdam Film Museum

My parents are currently visiting, and at the weekend they gave us one of the bestest of presents - they looked after the boy over night while the husband and I went on a two day mini break! Our first time we've been away alone over night in almost two years. We do love our little rascal, but sometimes it's just good to get in some couple time.

We didn't go very far away actually, just over to Postdam, the capital of Brandenburg. Although it's in a different state from Berlin, it's just at the end of the commuter train line, so cheap to get to on a local transport ticket. We made up for it with splurging on a nice hotel and an even nicer dinner at a posh French restaurant!

Before our dinner, we went to see a movie after discovering that the Film Museum was not only directly opposite our hotel, but was showing 'Moonrise Kingdom' in English in their little cinema. Completely wacky. And utterly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend if wacky is your kind of thing.
