Scotney Castle

This is a National Trust estate near Tunbridge Wells.  The castle, above, was partly dismantled in the 19th century to "improve" the look of the gardens by the then owner when he built a new house up the hill. You can look round both properties - the castle, what remains of it, is by far the most interesting. More info here.
