Bollards

Started the day in Liverpool, so I had a short stroll by the river. Whenever I see these old bollards, and the capstans just out of shot, I often think how amazing it must have looked with all the tall sail ships on the Mersey. Now it's all container ships unloading north of the city.
Undoubtedly more efficient but with none of the beauty or romance.
Ah well, progress and all that.
