A New Perspective

Down on my knees retying my skiboot I noticed how different the perspective was! The extra shows a more normal view.
Today felt really good because after a week of greyness the sun returned! With clear skies came lower temperatures and It was chilly in the shade as we skied away from the car, over the lake, but as soon as we came into the sun it was off with the hat and jacket.
We sat in the last warmth of the setting sun and drank hot chocolate and then the sun was gone. As we skied home we could feel the cold crispness in the air and we weren't surprised to find it was find it -12°C when we got back to the car.
We are both delighted by this cold weather. As you breath in the chilly dry air it feels like a health-giving tonic and the tingling of ear lobes and cheeks makes me feel really alive! It used to be like this from November to March but now we just get this wonderful weather for a few days in the winter.
But I feel grateful the days we do get!!
