The Cambridge Quranic Centre is a stone's throw from where for the last year a wonderful lady called Alison and her family have let us store donations received for incoming Syrian families. I saw little boys in skullcaps skittering in and out of the prayer room as we emptied the store and allowed Alison her summer house back.

The Syrian and wider Muslim and Arabic communities in Cambridge have been very welcoming to the families who have arrived under the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme. They've offered translation support, befriending, helped with transport, donated items and so much more over many thousands of accumulated hours.
