birds in the yard

A cold wind and plenty of feeding going on this morning. Here we have a downy woodpecker, four finches on the ground, a male and female purple finch (I think), a junco and a Harris's sparrow and a goldfinch. I am not sure abut the purple finch, it may be a house finch but the female is a purple finch, I am pretty sure.

The farm yesterday that you all seemed to like is owned and operated by a family of Old German  Baptists. They are good, meticulous farmers and also very generous with time and caring in times of trouble or emergency.  Good neighbors!
