The birthday boys

Neil (in the yellow hat) and Henry both celebrated birthdays this week. Neil's was yesterday; Henry's was today. It was also Henry and Christine's 48th wedding anniversary.

Only 22 of us walked on the long walk today. We were on the moors above Rowfoot. Some of the land was very wet and it was uneven terrain throughout, but not too difficult. Afterwards we went to the Wallace Arms for a touch of thirst quenching and to sample cheese from Cows & Co brought along by George. Delicious. I gather it is only available online at the moment.

Just as I arrived home, there was a 'phone call from Margret next door. She was showing a slideshow of Egypt to a few friends and the computer had gone off. Thankfully it was very easy to sort out.

Then I had a good soak in the bath -  a luxury in a house where we use showers nearly all the time.
