Arbroath Abbey

I love walking around old ruins and historical places. We didn't go in to the abbey but had a walk around the outside today.

Its hard to believe that its been there for over 800 years as it was founded in 1178 and the declaration of Arbroath which was the birth of Scottish Independence was signed here in 1320.
