Katoomba Cascades
Rain over the last few days has filled out quite a few of the local waterfalls. The Katoomba Cascades is one location that is showing pretty decent flow. Of course I have sometimes seen it really roar down here but on those occasions slow water shots tend to lose final detail. It was not "roaring" (as such) today but it seemed a nice compromise between strong fall and strong slow water interest.
As I am restricted to mono anyway I thought I'd go sepia and try for some of the atmosphere that Harry Phillips used to manage early last century. The shot might have been better if I'd have included a few ladies in Edwardian long dresses but for some reason they seemed thin on the ground today.
