Wednesday: Lion

I had a lunch at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club today and then an evening reception at UBC.  As it's still pretty cumbersome getting round in the snow, and both appointments were close to home, there seemed little point in heading back into town this afternoon.  I spent the morning in the office but then took the opportunity to work from home this afternoon.

This evening's event was to mark the 20th anniversary of UBC's Institute of Asian Research, hence the Chinese-looking lions.  The speeches were fairly interminable.......
