Nervous about heights?
Then this is not the job for you.
Mrs. K. and I are both involved in a Trust which looks after an area of woodland in the heart of the village. At least once a year the Trust has to employ a tree surgeon.
Today, however, the tree surgeon is working in our garden taking down the remains of two fifty foot pines which have come to the end of their lives.
Watching him climbing up the trunks with spiked boots and a rope round the trunk is a spectacular sight. At least he never cuts off the branch on which he is standing.
