Blencathra Sunset

What a beautiful day to wake up to after the miserable Bank Holiday weather yesterday! Shame I'm back at work.

After tea I headed off down to the lake and was pleased with the light however, on the way home, the huge golden sun was setting. I could see Blencathra in a golden, gossamer veil. I hurried to get to a suitable vantage point but these conditions are ephemeral and in a moment it was gone.

I spent a while working on an Ullswater panorama but in the end I chose the sunset which needed nothing!

I'd like to think tomorrow will be a good day but I know it wont.
