DCA Thomson

One of the many tributes to the 80th anniversary of DC Thomson's iconic comic strip characters in the exhibition at the Dundee Contemporary Arts gallery in Dundee.  This is a mural by Japanese artist Hideyuki Katsumata.

I was in the DCA with friend L. to see the film "Jackie", starring Natalie Portman.  I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it was very well made and a fascinating insight into the days after the assassination of President Kennedy.  The only other actors I recognised were John Hurt, Richard E. Grant and David Caves (from "Silent Witness"), but they all played their parts well.

A cold day, with sleety showers and not a day to be out walking, hence the afternoon cinema visit.
