100 greatest books ever (?)

A few years back I (A) decided to start collecting leather bound books by an American publisher from their series "100 greatest books ever written". Genuine leather (from the cheeks of unborn calves), acid free paper, silk book mark ribbons, original art work and so on. Most of them are still waiting for my retirement years and therefore for my final judgement whether the name of the series is accurate. However, I can tell you right away that no American author has been forgotten!
