Redpoll

A day round home apart from a trip into town combined with a visit to my brother.  The bird feeders were a mass of activity.  For the last week or so we have had an influx of Siskins.  Twelve was today's maximum count. 

Among the Siskins there have been the occasional Redpoll.   The shot is very grainy because I had to push the ISO very high to be able to attempt to stop the movement.

I was actually trying for Siskins and Goldfinches quarrelling round the Sunflower hearts but couldn't resist this shot of the male Redpoll.
