Green Stocking

Basil was permitted to come into the treatment room while Alex administered physiotherapy to my knee. Unlike the previous session, when he'd sat outside whingeing with the receptionist, he lay quiet the whole time. I was very grateful to Alex for letting him in. The alternative would have been to have left him barking in the car for 45 minutes, and it was a cold day.

Popped in to say Hello to Mandy, then our usual perambulation around Meadow Park. Sleet was falling occasionally. Was feeling very uninspired photographically when I noticed how green this tree trunk looked and such a vibrant, vivid green too which graded into different shades down the trunk. The photo does it no justice.

The extra is of intertwining branches that made a strong contrast against the background.

Popped into Loughborough in the afternoon where I bought a new throw to put in Basil's car cage in the probably vain hope of getting him to stop whingeing and barking while travelling, a small frying pan that says it doesn't need oil to cook (some hope), and a replacement fluorescent tube for the lamp over the photo in the bookshelf alcove. The store had only got the tubes in this week. After I'd bought mine, there was just one left.

A quiet evening watching an interesting programme about the British Raj in India was disturbed by Aziz phoning to say that all parking is now banned along the corniche in Tangier. Motorists MUST use the shoreside underground car parks or risk having their vehicles clamped and removed. I shall be interested to see how this plays out.
