The Place to Eat

….. or maybe not. Maybe skip the eating and just read the paper.

For the last few Fridays Igor and I have made the effort to go for a walk. Igor finds it hard to breathe when we walk when it’s really cold. Today it’s really, really cold but we come up with a cunning plan. Walking is walking, right? So it doesn’t matter if it’s inside or outside. We decide to park at one end of CMK shopping centre and walk to the other end and back. Debenhams to John Lewis and back! 

When we get back home we’re pleased to find that it’s the same number of steps as walking around Willen Lake. The same amount of exercise but no discomfort from the cold. Result!!

There was just a little downside. The walk round the lake cost us the price of a cup of coffee and a hot chocolate. The walk in CMK cost us the price of four pairs of jeans (two each) and a pair of snazzy Ugg shoes (mine). Not to mention the price of a cup of coffee and a hot chocolate. Cunning plan?? Mmmmmmmm?? Maybe not!
