King of Rings

Minding the Berber Shop at lunch time while Aziz went to the mosque, I took this shot of the knuckle duster ring with my x-t2 fitted with a 56mm prime. Couldn't get any closer. Some nice bokeh.

Sleet and snow fell intermittently all day. Nothing has settled and light rain is forecast tomorrow. Basil was getting cold in his usual place at the front of the shop, so I brought him round the back with me.

After leaving Loughborough, we drove to Staunton Harold to find the site for a forthcoming photoshoot. The unusual stile pictured in the extra has been carved beautifully on both sides. On one side is the inscription 'From Quiet,' and on the other 'Greener Yet.'
