or so I believe. I went to North Berwick to take some photos. It was bitterly cold by the sea, but the sun was out briefly. I met a man with a dog who told me that the cute little white birds scuttling about at the edge of the high tide were Sanderlings (see extra) who are normally marsh waders, not sea waders. But there are supposedly around 150 of them running around the West Beach at the moment. Very difficult to get a focussed photo of them since they run so fast.
