Grey sky

It was cold, grey and misty all day, and it has tried to snow. This pattern against the dull sky is provided by a laburnum tree in a neighbour's garden.
I had a narrow escape this afternoon. I had just cleared up after lunch when there was a knock at the door. Three WI members were on the doorstep, there to attend a meeting to plan the 2018 programme! Somehow it hadn't got into my diary and I was not expecting them! I was free and the house was tidy and we had a positive meeting. After 47 years of membership, there is no decline in my involvement of the WI!
