Blast From The Past
Weird thing happened this weekend, through the power of Facebook. 37 years ago I shared a flat in Edinburgh and the guy who was in charge of the lease was a bloke called Norrie, we had some ace times in that flat, I was still a teenager and it was a good place to learn how to do adulting. Anyhoo, I moved out to a flat closer to college sharing with fellow course students and didn't keep in touch. 37 years later Norrie found a wallet full of photos from my youth that I must have left behind and took the time to post one on a FB page for my home town and in less than 48 hours we were in touch. I was really touched by the number of folk that responded to his post and his thoughtfulness to try to reunite me with my pouch of memories. Also slightly freaked by how accessible one is these days!
The photo is of albums as one of my lasting memories is that he had the biggest record collection I had ever seen and gave his flat mates open access to it, which was great, but God help you if you put an album back out if alphabetical order!
