Sun and Snow in New York City.

This morning we woke to a very cold but beautifully sunny day. We began by taking a walk in Central Park to enjoy the snowy scenes. Then we took the subway to Battery Park and sailed to see the Statue of Liberty. We were very impressed, it was fabulous to actually see it. After this the boat took us to Ellis Island, the place where immigrants arriving in America first went, a fascinating place and very thought provoking. Finally, we returned on the subway to the hotel having walked around 8 miles and had a day never to be forgotten.
