Broken needles

I can't believe that we're in February. It's true that time passes in the blink of an eye. I started the year with these needles, they have knit the back and started other front. However they broke in the middle of a row!  
An emergency dash to my mother in laws for a spare pair as these were my mums and she didn't have  spare pair.
