What used to be

The sunrise Friday morning at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where I am helping a friend at a convention of the association
of  loggers and timber growers. I stepped outside around 7:15am to get this shot with the iPhone.  The posts sticking up in the ocean are the remnants of a long fishing pier that was destroyed last fall when Hurricane Matthew landed here in SC.  Part of this resort hotel was also damaged and is still undergoing repairs.  I had little free time but I did take a break to walk on the sand where I spied the shells in the extra.
