'Mincing Man'

I think some of the minced beef you get from shops nowadays isn't bad but you just never know what is really in it and even the 'Lean' has more fat than doing it yourself.
So for the past few years what we've been doing is buying joints of roasting beef, Lidl XXX is often on offer and Morrisons do very good brisket which is cheap. We leave a bit of fat on but can trip any excess off and put it through the mincer.
Just put 4 x 500g and 1 x 400g plastic boxes in the freezer for when it's Spag Bol or Lasagne time, sometimes we even stretch to a cottage pie when we have mash left over from Sunday lunch.
