Esme

Esme the Emu is now 3 days old and is just starting to think about water and food. Apparently they have a yolk sac which nourishes them for the first few days. She is trying to get up on her feet but hasn't quite managed it yet. She didn't really want to look at the camera so this was the best I could do. The children are very excited about her. 
Miserable day here and so we have mostly caught up with indoor chores.
