In the dog house
Today I have been a very naughty little collie. Now I'm in the dog house. Boohoo. Do you want to know what I have done?....................
….............This morning, on my walk, it was cold and wet and I did my slowest walking ever. I kept stopping to sniff things and eat things. I quite like Saturday morning walks because drunk people, on a Friday night, eat things like chips so there's always quite a few tasty titbits lying on the pavement when I go for my walk first thing in the morning. Ann wasn't too happy with my slowness though. She said she might as well have a snail for a pet?!! By the time I got back from my walk we were both soaked through to our skin.
This afternoon, on my walk, it was cold and wet and I was still on a bit of a go slow. Because Ann is such a nice owner she took me to Braidburn Valley Park for my walk so that I could have a bit of a run and a splish, splash, splosh in the burn. Unfortunately I had to walk along the main road to get to the park and I went mad at every single bus that I saw. (And there were a lot of buses about today.) I pulled on my lead and did my most ferocious barking. Ann said, 'Molly, why are you behaving like this? I thought you were a big, grown up, mature collie now. This walk is not enjoyable.'
I had a lovely play in Braidburn Valley Park and I posed nicely next to some snowdrops that we found. That's the only good thing I've done all day. Then we had to walk home and I went mad at a lot more buses. Going ballistic at buses is fun for a neurotic little collie!
When we got home we were both soaked through to our skin. Grrrrrr......... Ann said, 'Molly, I'm going to Susi's for dinner tonight and I was going to take you with me so that you could spend the evening evil eyeing Tabitha the cat, but your behaviour today has been appalling. Consider yourself in the dog house and I'll go to Susi's by myself.'
Now I'm feeling a bit annoyed that my behaviour has been so bad today. I'm lying in 'good dog' mode but I don't think Ann is going to change her mind. She says bad behaviour has consequences?!
…...............Perhaps I'll be extra well behaved tomorrow???
