Grouse Mountain Sunset
We purchased locals passes for Grouse Mountain the other day (we get unlimited gondola rides up the mountain for a year and a few other perks) and thought we'd get into the Christmas spirit with the 'light walk' that they host each year. We made the journey in the daylight so we could watch the sunset over Vancouver. It was a bit cloudy to see the city but the sunset was beautiful. It's strange being on the top of a mountain and having little to no wind, being from Scotland this is very rare!
The mountain was great and has loads of activities for everyone including, show shoeing, skiing/snowboarding, ice staking, tubing, sleigh rides and even a fancy restaurant with views over Vancouver. We didn't realise just how busy the mountain would be but we had to line up for around 45 mins (outside) to get the gondola back down. As it was so busy the Grouse staff were using all transport possible and we managed to take a ride back down on the freight gondola.
Tomorrow we're heading to Ryan's house to spend Christmas day with his family in Surrey.
Merry Christmas!
