Door Handle

Earlier in the week I blipped fork handles,  today it is one of the new door handles bought for our kitchen/dining room project.  

We had a look in the usual DIY 'sheds' but didn't see anything inspiring and decided to try an old style architectural ironmonger in the centre of Warwick.  It can be a little like stepping back into the 1950s, but the choice of styles is good and the quality streets ahead of anything in the sheds.

The owner let us look at a few of the items on display and then asked: What sort of thing we were looking for?  
What age was the house?
Did we want modern, country cottage or something else?
He compared the kitchen cupboard handle we had taken with us to a few designs and then suggested we might like something 'retro'.    

He would be the 3rd or 4th person involved with the house project who has won our business by listening!

We arrived home in time to see most of the England Wales rugby match - what a game!  Full on, combative, never say die defending, with an ambush predator like killer instinct finish, almost a pity either team had to win.
