Hail?

Yesterday morning the tiniest of tiny snowflakes fell. This morning the tiny flakes managed to pile high enough for the roof of my car to have a slight white covering. At lunch time today we got something in between a snow and hail shower. Tiny little white balls fell from the sky, light as snow yet straight (not fluttering) as hail.
