'daddy'

Since Sebastien likes reading, he was puzzling out words I was writing on his paper while we waited for food at Pain Quotidien.

I had written "daddy" and he wasn't able to read it, which was odd because that's one of the first words he learned to read. So I told him what it was and he said, "But there's no 'D' in it, Mommy. "  Turns out I've been writing DADDY all in caps for him until now and he hadn't made the connection with lower case letters yet. Fascinating how the mind works as it learns...
