2017 Thursday -- The Journey to SoCal
After 57 days and nights on California's Central Coast it is now time to get back so that I can be face forward and ready for the start of the spring semester next week.
The scenery was beautiful after all the rain that has fallen here. The coast was slightly foggy, but not too bad for driving. The traffic in Los Angeles was a little thick somewhere between Thousand Oaks and Burbank (I can't remember the names of the cities in that area), but it did not slow us down too much and the clock told us we were on the road for 4 hours and 10 minutes, which is about 10 minutes longer than usual. It is 265 miles from our front door in Central California to our front door in Southern California. When the traffic is mild, as it usually is, the journey is lovely. During the semester, my schedule allows me to leave the campus middle of day Thursday and not return to the classroom until Tuesday mornings.
Now we are in southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
