1910 school medals

We were thrilled this week to receive these beautiful medals dated 1910 and 1911 presented to a former student Arthur Inglis. A distant relative was clearing out a house and thankfully took the trouble to trace Leighton Park to return them. He was clearly a high performing swimmer and steeplechaser.
The lovely photo shows Arthur togged up in his motor cycling outfit. Sadly he was killed in a motor cycling accident shortly before he joined up to fight in World War I.
