An early start!

Bright and cold and frosty today, unlike the rest of the country by the sounds of it.  We've been so lucky lately with the weather.

Decided to have a look at the "allotment", a neighbour's veg garden which we've been using for the last couple of years.  I've not been near it for months, apart from looking for looking for any tatties I might have missed when digging them up!  

Most of the soil was still frozen on the surface but the bit in the sun was workable and I gave it a dig over.  One onion and three more tatties surfaced!  And incredibly the onion hadn't rotted at all, so better than some that I had stored.   Good to get at least part of it dug and weeded.  Feels as if I'm one step ahead!
