Returning cornice in the Green Room. Sorry it's yet another faffed phone photo. 

The new is only a moderate approximation to the original which had been stripped out previously - probably when the en-suite was put in. Entertainingly, there's a remnant of the original in the ceiling of the built-in wardrobe.

And yes, the "Green" room not only has yellow walls, but an orange ceiling - which goes quite a way to explain why it's a bit dark in there. It will be somewhat less orange tomorrow.

However, the title.  The alternative photo from today's Green Room developments was a lot less pretty and has us looking up insect exterminators.  Sigh.

In other news... I seem to have come in the top three of the 112 entries to that micro-story competition  I mentioned the other day.  Well chuffed - actually gets me a prize too.
