Amsterdam

I met a friend in Amsterdam today and we had a wonderful time doing tourist things. This is the Royal Palace in Dam Square. Unusually for me, my travel arrangements were very smooth and, apart from the obligatory body search at Gatwick, I made it all the way there and back with no hitches. Not even a plane hijacking drama at Schiphol Airport got in the way!

I thought Amsterdam was a wonderful city and I will definitely have to go back another time and have more of a look. I also found the Dutch people to be incredibly friendly and helpful at all times and I love their healthy cycling obsession!

All in all, a great day out :)
