Farewell

We've all been miserable today, as my brother began his journey home...   This is at the airport just before he headed into departures... a traditional sibling display of affection to stop everything getting too sentimental... 

It's been lovely having him around for a couple of short weeks,  lots of enjoyable chats and bonds re-established, with our little family unit back together for a short time... taking up where we left off by taking the piss, but also discovering more about the adults we've become and the shared values about raising kids and enjoying life... Promises made to each other to Skype and not just rely on Mum passing on news and agreement to meet up again before another 10 years passes. 

It's a strange time at the mo,  but it's been great hang out for a bit and to introduce him to his niece and see her respond to him with ease and happiness. Also to catch up on the news about my Kiwi family... So it's sad to see him go,  but I know there's a bunch of people eagerly awaiting his return, so I'm grateful that we were able to borrow him for a little bit.  xxx
