Last morning on the beach before the 18-hour journey back to Scotland – some 5,000 miles via bus ,plane and train.

Overnight flight to Manchester and early mornign train to Edinburgh- now jet lagged so please excuse lack of comments.
 
The final image I take away from Barbados this sunny February morning with the temperature hovering around 28-29C was of the frail octogenarian, our next door neighbour,  diving into the sea for a last minute dip.
Earlier in the week he had been out for six hours on a catamaran.
 

His energy and bravado put the rest of us to shame as we sat and watched from our sun loungers.
