I was delighted to be able to get this photograph this evening, courtesy of one of the two young men who were providing service for our dinner. A gathering of academic women brought together by a Germany-based networking website, invited by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and all under the rather oppressive and possibly disapproving gaze of the exclusively male portraits.

Other than this, nothing remarkable happened today.
