Murmuration

Went food shopping with my Mum just after lunch - couldn't believe how long we were gone!  Had a very quick turnaround (and cup of tea) back at hers, before heading back out to go and see the starling murmuration at Ham Wall on the Avalon Marshes.  I've never seen it before, and although it wasn't the huge spectacular you sometimes see on TV, it was pretty amazing the way all the smaller flocks kept coming together - and when they all turned en masse, the sound of their wings was like waves breaking on a beach.  It was a great experience - and just lovely to be out in such a beautiful place at dusk, too.
