Spark In The Dark

Evening all,

Bit of an odd day today.

Middle day of the holiday should have been a surfing and activity day, but the waves failed us early. so surfing was cancelled early.

Quick trip to Seahouses to do the touristy bit in the morning, then followed by a sedentary bit in the afternoon, which i always find really frustrating as i think its a waste of a day when you've only got a week.

Number 1. daughter and i braved the beach late last night, it was a glorious scene illuminated by the glow of the full moon, which gave it a strangely alien feel, and after finally securing some decent steel wool.....

"dad, stop looking for hardware shops, you're meant to be on holiday"

we had a little go at spinning the wool, it was loads of fun, number 1 daughter in charge of camera and making sure the sparks didn't do any damage, and i was in charge of falling over, catching fire, and hitting myself on the head with a whisk full of burning pieces of metal.

no damage done.

I've always thought hair was over-rated anyway.
