Happiness is a book and a sausage sandwich
Will had planned that we spend our day at Whipsnade Zoo, he was persuaded otherwise by the weather. So we went to Cambridge instead.
We explored the Egyptian trail at the Fitzwilliam museum and stumbled upon a free chamber music concert for which we got tickets. For 45mins he sat still listening to the four instruments and watching the player's hands move.
Will's extremes always surprise me. From racing around the Egyptian trail, telling me what canopic jars were (before we had found them in the display cases), telling me about greaves, gauntlets and maces to sitting transfixed listening to (slightly odd for the first part) chamber music.
After the armoury he declared himself hungry so food had to be found. He was happy with a sausage sandwich and his book, How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. All in all a good day. I think I will bring him back when the Sedgwick is open.
