Long Live Love!
My parents became engaged on my mother's 21st birthday in February 1941. They married six months later. My father died a few weeks short of their 64th wedding anniversary, but on their Diamond Wedding Day, they received a congratulatory card from the queen, which stayed on display until my mother died seven years after my father.
Here - for the Tiny Tuesday challenge - & St Valentine's Day - is her diamond engagement ring. The diamonds are tiny (the world was at war!) and the gold has worn very thin (she lived to age 92); their lives are over. But their love lives on in their children and grandchildren.
I raise a toast to eternal LOVE!
