An unusual story. An old lady knocks on the door of an old man, two doors away. She has an odd question to ask. She had trouble sleeping, so she wonders if he would be willing to spend the nights in her bed. Just to talk, just for company. He agrees and leaves for her house in the evenings with his tooth brush and pajamas. They don't care what people think. And people think a lot and aren't shy to voice their opinion.
I'm not done yet, so I'm not sure what it will lead up to. The characters aren't very insightful, I find them a little flat. But the storyline is intriguing enough, with family members involved, a child to care for, the sharing of life beyond the nights.
