Lamplit Lizard

We stayed a night in a gorgeous hotel up in a village called Eze up in the hills above Nice, a special treat to make up for a less-than-fantastic experience we had in October last year at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco for our tenth wedding anniversary. This hotel was MUCH nicer. It's called La Chateau de la Chevre d'Or (Castle of the Golden Goat!) and it's a collection of little village houses built into a hillside. Very higgledy-piggledy.

While I took some good shots of the gorgeous views from our room, looking back at the pics my favourite is actually this one, of a gecko in the lamp just outside the door to our room.
